The Root Chakra

The Root chakra is all about instinct, survival and stability.

It is also the chakra that grounds our physical nd emotional energy.

The more grounded our energy is, the easier it is for us to manifest our dreams and desires into a physical form. It is also our power station, charging and recharging our body with physical vitality and endurance.

When our Root Chakra, also known as the Base chakra, is out of balance we may experience difficulties in our lives, in other words our stability and energy levels are low, and often not active at all.

We might also experience anxiety, problems with focusing, lack of ability to move forward and digestion difficulties.

Or find ourselves laughing nervously, or speaking over the top of someone , in a rapid imbalanced way.

This chakra is our body’s most primal, fundamental energy centre and is associated with the colour red.

If this chakra is deficient in the balance necessary to function., we will be more prone to issues such as anxiety, suspicion, and wanting to be lone. On the other hand, if we have excessive energy around the  root chakra you will be prone to  pushing ourselves too hard, and have mostly aggravated emotional responses to daily life.

Natural oils such as such as sandalwood, patchouli,, cloves, black pepper, and ginger helps to cleanse this chakra.

The use use of crystals is valuable also. Here are a few that are most helpful. Carnelian. Jasper. Hematite, Smokey Quartz are good to carry in our pockets.

Walking in the garden , though a rainforest or the country side, definitely have a major impact, allowing the miracles of Mother Earth to ground as we walk. And as we wander its a wonderful idea to repeat out loud ( if you can) or if necessary, to yourself, a few short mantras such as ;

“I am grounded,” “I am centered and whole, “I trust in the wisdom of life,” “I have everything I need,” “I am safe and secure,” “I surrender,” “I am strong, stable, and at peace.”

Perhaps take the time to sit quietly and visualise an orb of red light pulsating in the root chakra region your groin area) and sense all of the heavy energy dissolving as it meets the energy of the red light.

Many of our trust issues and anxieties, develop from our inner beliefs, and unresolved suffering.

Take time to reflect on the root of our fears. When it comes to our psychological and spiritual nature, it helps us develop our personal integrity, self-esteem and sense of belonging.

Journalling our thoughts or sharing our fears with a trusted friend, or spiritual healer, someone who is well equipped to listen without judgment, provides the unconditional love and support we need to grow.

It is in the first moment of primitive sensing to its new environment, a newborn infant engages in the search of sustenance and comfort, using its wee mouth, sense of smell, and movement of the head from side to side, to replace the safety they felt in the womb,

Overtime, as this primal survival need is met, the new born will move directly to the source of sustenance without searching, this is how the baby has validated it’s earliest possible assurance that it does belong on this planet, we call Earth, and at the very least, initially anyway, they sense their survival will be supported.

In our lives on Earth, we will always be challenged with problems.

The unenlightened see themselves as victims, the receivers of misfortune, but the wise regard them as valuable and beneficial lessons.

When we learn from them and begin to work on ourselves we progress with our spiritual development.

If we do not do this, we remain stuck in the suffering, continueing to replay the painful lessons over and ver again until the penny drops. Or in future life.
